With a strong background in mental health nursing and mentoring, I have spent the past several years supporting students navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, and complex mental health needs. My experience spans universities, schools, and community care. Today, I offer independent, one-to-one mental health mentoring that’s tailored to each individual’s unique goals and circumstances.
The word Ustawi means wellbeing in Swahili — a word close to my heart, reflecting my African roots and my belief that everyone deserves to thrive, especially within education.
I understand that learning can be overwhelming — from deadlines and public speaking to staying organised or managing university life with mental health challenges. My approach is grounded in compassion and practical strategy: I work collaboratively with you to build effective routines, manage anxiety, boost confidence, and develop skills that support both academic success and personal growth. Whether you're a young student or returning to education as an adult, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
Let’s make education feel possible again — with care, clarity, and consistent support.
Jennifer — a Specialist Mental Health Mentor and the founder of Ustawi Practice.
